CROSSING THE BORDER – ARRIVAL IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA

Please follow the applicable measures and instructions of the Croatian authorities.

CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY INTO THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA FOR CITIZENS OF THE EU AND THE COUNTRIES AND / OR REGIONS OF THE SCHENGEN AREA AND THE COUNTRIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHENGEN AREA

7 entry requirement options:

  • EU Digital COVID Certificate.
  • A negative PCR (taken 72 hours before arrival at the border) or antigen test taken (48 hours before arrival).
  • Vaccination certificate confirming the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine used in EU Member States. Exceptionally, in the case of Janssen or Johnson & Johnson, a certificate confirming receipt of a single dose more than 14 days before arrival.
  • Proof of recovery from Covid more than 11 days and less than 365 days ago.
  • Proof of recovery and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 365 days ago.
  • Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result.
  • Confirmation of receipt of the first dose of Pfizer, Moderna or Gamaleya (when travelling between the 22nd and 42nd day of receipt), or AstraZeneca (when travelling between the 22nd and 84th day of receipt).

All children under the age of 12 are exempt from providing test results should their parent or guardian fulfil the requirements.

CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY INTO THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA FOR NON EU- CITIZENS

5 entry requirement options:

  • A negative PCR (taken 72 hours before arrival at the border) or antigen test taken (48 hours before arrival).
  • A vaccination certificate showing final dose taken more than 14 days ago.
  • Proof of recovery from Covid more than 11 days and less than 365 days ago.
  • Proof of recovery and first dose of vaccination more than 11 days and less than 365 days ago.
  • Pay for a test on arrival and remain in self-isolation until a negative result.

Don’t forget, you will also need to show evidence that you own property in Croatia or have confirmation of reservation or paid accommodation, be that in a hotel, camp site, private rental, boat or other tourism provider.

All children under the age of 12 are exempt from providing test results should their parent or guardian fulfil the requirements.

CROSSING THE BORDER - RETURNING FROM CROATIA TO HOMELAND

AUSTRIA

Update: 02.07.2021.

Passengers returning from Croatia are not subject to quarantine if: they show Proof of Vaccination, Past Infection, or Negative Test. PCR test no older than 72 hours or an antigen test no older than 48 hours. Tests need to be issued by a medical authority; self-tests are not valid. Children under 12 do not need to show a test.

You are considered "vaccinated" starting on the 22nd day after your first dose, lasting for 90 days from the vaccination date. After the second dose, the validity extends for another 270 days (i.e. the vaccination is then valid for 360 days total from the first vaccination date). Vaccines that only require one dose are valid from the 22nd day after that dose and for 270 days from the vaccination date. This also applies to people who have had COVID-19 before and received only one dose of any vaccine.

You can enter Austria for 180days after a COVID-19 infection. Proof of antibodies is valid for 90 days from the test date.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Update: 03.11.2021.

It has been ordered that all persons who stayed in the territories of the countries, which are on the list of countries or territories with a high or very high risk of incidence of COVID-19 for more than 12 hours during the last 14 days;

  • a) are required to complete Public Health Passenger Locator Form before entering the territory of the Czech Republic
  • b) are required to have the result of an RT-PCR test before entering the territory of the Czech Republic.

Croatia is currently considered to be high-risk area.

Exemptions from certain anti-epidemic measures are vaccinated persons with a national certificate on vaccination that has been carried out, vaccinated persons with a national certificate of completed vaccination and persons who have had COVID-19. They are required to complete Public Health Passenger Locator Form before entering the territory of the Czech Republic; and when requested to do so during a border or residence check, are required to present a document confirming that they filled out the Public Health Passenger Locator Form.

GERMANY

Update: 03.11.2021.

You are warned against unnecessary tourist trips to Croatia.

Croatia is currently considered to be high-risk area.

All travellers entering Germany have to provide a negative test result, proof of full vaccination, or proof of recovery, independent from where they arrive. Children under 12 years old are exempted from testing requirements.

Travellers who - in the last 10 days - have stayed in a high-incidence area must self-isolate until they submit to the digital registration on entry either:

  • proof of vaccination against COVID-19 - at least 14 days must have elapsed since the second dose of the vaccine dose (or single dose for Johnson&Johnson)
  • proof of recovery from COVID-19, certified by a positive PCR test result carried out at least 28 days before, and not older than 6 months
  • a pre-departure negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival (or a rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours prior to arrival).

In this case, the 10-day quarantine period may be ended on the basis of a negative test carried out no earlier than 5 days after entry. For children under 12 years self-isolation ends automatically after 5 days.

HUNGARY

Update: 03.11.2021.

Regardless of the passenger’s citizenship, the restrictions do not apply to travellers:

  • holding an EU Digital COVID certificate
  • recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months from the date of entry
  • holding a Hungarian immunity certificate and their accompanying minor children (only if they travel together)
  • holding an immunity certificate that is recognised by Hungary based on unilateral/bilateral agreements (see the list of these countries), and their accompanying minor children (only if they travel together).

Travellers fulfilling one of the above mentioned criteria do not need any permission in order to enter Hungary, they do not need to go into isolation, and their length of stay is not limited.

ITALY

Update: 03.11.2021.

In order to enter/return to Italy, you must:

fill out a digital Passenger Locator Form (only in case of lack of necessary tools to fill out the dPLF, you can use a paper-based self-declaration) and present it to the carrier or any other authorized person, either printed or on your mobile device

present to the carrier and any other authorized person, an EU digital Covid Certificate or equivalent certificate showing proof that you have either:

  • been vaccinated against COVID-19 with an EMA authorized vaccine and you have completed the prescribed vaccination cycle since at least fourteen days
  • received a negative result of a molecular or antigenic test carried out in the 48 hours (antigenic test) or 72 hours (molecular test) before your arrival
  • recovered from COVID-19 and you are no longer under prescription of self-isolation.
NETHERLANDS

Update: 03.11.2021.

You must show:

Proof of vaccination or proof of recovery from COVID-19 disease (this includes the COVID digital certificate) or negative test result: PCR not older than 72 hours or antigen not older than 48 hours.

If you are traveling by air, you must fill out a health declaration and take it with you.

POLAND

Update: 02.07.2021.

Travellers from EU Member States or Schengen Associated Countries and holders of EU Digital COVID Certificate, will be allowed to enter Poland, without being subject to further restrictions (testing or quarantine), at the condition that their certificate contains either:

  • Proof of vaccination, which is valid 14 days after the second dose of the vaccine (or 14 days after the single dose of the Janssen/Johnson&Johnson vaccine).
  • Proof of recovery from COVID-19, which is valid for 180 days from the day of the positive result to a Coronavirus test.
  • A negative result to a COVID-19 test.
  • Both PCR and antigenic tests are accepted.
  • Validity: 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • Children under 12 years old are exempted from the testing or quarantine requirements.
RUSSIA

Update: 03.11.2021.

It is necessary to present a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours.

Persons who have a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 in the last 6 months are exempted from the obligation to obtain a negative test and self-isolation. Children under 1 year of age are exempt from testing.

SLOVAKIA

Update: 03.11.2021.

Only and exclusively fully vaccinated people who have received both doses of a 2-scheme vaccine (or a single dose of a 1-scheme vaccine) are considered as low risk. Such persons do not require to enter quarantine or abide self-isolation measures when entering Slovakia. They are now free from any obligations of RT-PCR or rapid antigen testing.

Definition of a fully vaccinated person:

  • Vaccines with a schedule of two doses: 14 days after administration (day 15) of the second dose, valid for 1 year.
  • Single-dose vaccines: 21 days after administration (day 22) of the vaccine, which is valid for one year.
  • Persons who have experienced COVID-19: 14 days after receiving the first dose of the vaccine if given within 180 days of COVID-19 disease, which is valid for one year.
  • Children up to 12 years.

All unvaccinated persons entering Slovakia must enter compulsory self-isolation and undergo an RT-PCR test (at the earliest on the fifth day of self-isolation) regardless of the country in which they have resided for the last 14 days.

All passengers entering the Slovak Republic must register at: https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica/.

Persons arriving in the Slovak Republic by air are also required to fill in the passenger location form: https://www.mindop.sk/covid/.

Passengers arriving by plane from Croatia must show a negative RT-PCR test result that is not older than 72 hours.

SLOVENIA

Update: 14.07.2021.

From July 15th

Lists of countries are abolished.

Entry into Slovenia is allowed without referral to quarantine at home to a person who submits:

  • European digital covid certificate
  • certificate of vaccination against COVID-19
  • a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours
  • a negative HAG test not older than 48 hours
  • certificate that the person has had COVID-19 in the last 6 months

Children under the age of 15 who cross the border with a close family member or in an organized group accompanied by educators, teachers or guardians who are not subject to quarantine are also allowed to enter Slovenia without being subject to quarantine.

SWITZERLAND

Update: 16.07.2021.

People returning to Switzerland by car, bus, or train from Croatia are currently exempt from pandemic-related measures.

People returning to Switzerland by plane from Croatia:

UNITED KINGDOM

Update: 03.11.2021.

Fully vaccinated - Before you travel to England you must:

  • book and pay for a COVID-19 test – to be taken before the end of day 2 in England
  • complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England. You will need to enter your COVID-19 test booking reference number on your passenger locator form.

After you arrive in England you must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2. The day you arrive is day 0.

Not fully vaccinated - Before you travel to England you must:

  • take a COVID-19 test – to be taken in the 3 days before you travel to England
  • book and pay for day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 PCR tests – to be taken after arrival in England
  • complete a passenger locator form – to be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in England

After you arrive in England you must:

  • quarantine at home or in the place you are staying for 10 full days
  • take your COVID-19 PCR tests – you must book these tests before you travel

Under the Test to Release scheme you can choose to pay for a private COVID-19 test on day 5. If the result is negative (and the result of your day 2 test result was negative or inconclusive) you can end your quarantine.

Children aged 4 and under they do not have to take any COVID-19 travel tests.

Childern 5 to 17 year olds:

  • do not have to take a COVID-19 test before travel to England
  • must take a test on or before day 2 – arrival day is day 0.

SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) TESTING IN ISTRA CAMPING

In order to make your vacation as carefree as possible, we offer a possibility of testing in Poreč and Umag to all our guests. The tests are performed by the Croatian Institute of Public Health. Results for PCR and BAT (rapid antigen) test available by accelerated procedure in the shortest possible time. A prior announcement is required (at least 36 hours before) at the facility reception desk.

The price for the Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) is 17 € (125 HRK) and for the PCR test 63 € (470 HRK) per person.

PREVENTION MEASURES AND COVID-19 PROTOCOLS AT ISTRA CAMPING FACILITIES

GENERAL MEASURES

  • A 2 m distance during the check-in at the reception desk; lounge furniture and recliner chairs in common areas have been rearranged to meet the prescribed social distancing measures (the space between deck chairs on the beach/in the pool area, the space between restaurant and bar tables, waiting area furniture by the reception desk).
  • Chair arms, if any, are disinfected frequently.
  • Wearing protective masks in the reception area and in common areas is mandatory.
  • Protective masks and gloves are available to all guests upon request.

STAFF

  • Our campsite staff is familiar with all the measures recommended by the World Health Organization, as well as national and local health institutions.
  • The staff members check their body temperature before heading to work on a daily basis and maintain good personal hygiene, especially by regularly washing and disinfecting their hands.
  • Use of prescribed protective equipment by staff during guest interaction is mandatory.
  • Additional hand sanitisers are available in staff areas.
  • Our staff undergo specialised training courses about COVID-19 and related protection measures.
  • Vaccination of staff against COVID-19 is organized.

RECEPTION AREA

  • Disinfectants are made available upon entering the reception area, where guests can read the notices about the recommendations and measures implemented to prevent the spread of infection.
  • The reception area is aired and disinfected thoroughly and frequently.
  • Daily disinfection of the reception desk and the pertaining floor area is carried out more frequently.
  • Signage and distance marks have been placed throughout the hotel to remind our guests to keep the prescribed distance and apply the protection measures.
  • Guests can use Istra Camping online check-in service to speed up the check in process upon arrival. It's quick and simple. All direct guests will receive an email with booking confirmation including a link for quick online check-in form. By completing the form, guests can expedite the process, save time and ensure minimum contact with reception staff.
  • Guests can also avoid queuing during check-out by scheduling their check-out time with reception staff prior to departure.
  • Flat-Rate guests can use separate self-service check-in / check-out interactive terminals at the campsite reception area. This service is available 24 hours for all campsite entries and exits in the following campsites: Camping Bijela Uvala, Camping Zelena Laguna, Camping Ulika, Camping Puntica, Camping Park Umag and Camping Stella Maris.

MOBILE HOMES

  • Mobile home cleaning meets high hygiene standards, and includes an even more detailed surface disinfection.
  • Mobile home guests may opt for complete privacy (staff members will not enter their accommodation unit unless asked to do so).

FOOD AND BEVERAGES

  • Contactless disinfectants are available at the restaurant and bar entrances.
  • Seating areas have been arranged to ensure the recommended social distance between guests.
  • Tables undergo thorough cleaning and disinfection upon every guest departure.
  • Daily disinfection of restaurant and bar floors is carried out more frequently.
  • Stricter food handling protocols and protections measures are applied.

SANITARY FACILITIES

  • Information with health and safety guidelines and social distancing indicators are placed in all sanitary facilities.
  • Sanitary facilities’ cleaning, disinfection and ventilation have been intensified.

BEACHES, SWIMMING POOLS, SPORTS, ACTIVITIES & EXPERIENCES

  • Health and safety guidelines as well as social distancing indicators are present throughout the facilities for easy reference.
  • Pool and beach sun loungers have been arranged to ensure social distancing measures, and are regularly and thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.
  • All indoor areas are frequently cleaned and aired.
  • All sports and animation activities have been modified to comply with the recommendations from relevant authorities.
  • Sports and entertainment programmes require prior reservation of service time.
