Camping Park Umag hosted the 48th Europe Rally, the gathering of campers, enthusiasts of holidays in nature, from 28 May to 2 June 2009. During the Europa Rally, there were over 1100 campers from 19 European countries at the Camping Park Umag.
  Most “camping crews” arrived to this year’s Europa Rally from France and Switzerland, while other “Rally fans" arrived from Germany, Austria, Italy, Great Britain, Spain, Greece, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Luxemburg, Slovenia and Croatia.
  During the six days of the Europa Rally, the guests had at their disposal a number of various excursions and events in Istria and the surrounding areas, and upon their daily return to the campsite, there were always rich campsite facilities to be enjoyed, as well as evening entertainment programmes enriched with indigenous gastronomic experiences.
  The entire manifestation was hosted by Istraturist and the Camping Park Umag and organized jointly with the Croatian Camping Association. It was supported by the sponsorship of the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian National Tourist Board. The support was also received by the county and the local tourist offices from Umag and Brtonigla, as well as by the Croatian Automobile Club (HAK).
